Ludwig Hockert 1740~-1772

Ludwig Hockert seems to have moved back to Mandern after his first wife Barbara died. His second marriage, children, and death are all recorded there. He died in an epidemic which killed 34 of Mandern's residents in the first 6 months of 1772. The normal death count in a single year was 10 or less. His move back to Mandern raises the question, did he leave baby Laurenz in the care of Barbara's family?
